BeiGene Foundation

The BeiGene Foundation* is a nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating barriers to equitable and accessible cancer care in under-represented communities around the world. We believe that everyone at risk of or living with cancer should have equitable and just access to interventions that can help empower them to achieve their best possible outcomes. Through co-creating innovative and transformative interventions, we can help close the gap in cancer care and treatment disparities. The BeiGene Foundation also supports nonprofit organizations that positively impact the communities where BeiGene operates and those providing response and recovery support following a natural or humanitarian disaster.

The Foundation provides funding for charitable, community-engaged programs in three strategic areas:

  • Access to equitable cancer care
  • Community engagement
  • Disaster response

Despite significant progress in cancer diagnosis and treatment, considerable disparities in access to cancer care remain worldwide. That’s why the Beigene Foundation prioritizes interventions that aim to empower patients, healthcare providers, and communities to achieve optimal outcomes by:

  • Facilitating early detection
  • Ensuring prompt diagnosis

The BeiGene Foundation works to make cancer care more accessible for the world’s underserved communities. We believe that working with these communities, including private and public sector partners, will create innovative and transformative solutions to reduce disparities in cancer care and treatment.

In May 2023, the BeiGene Foundation made its first grant to The Max Foundation as part of a three-year collaboration with BeiGene to deliver medicine at no cost to patients in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). By the end of 2024, 200 patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) in Armenia, Ethiopia, and Nepal have received treatment at no cost.

The BeiGene Foundation does not currently accept unsolicited proposals for funding.

We look forward to working together with our grant partners to advance innovative and transformative solutions to reduce disparities in cancer care and treatment.
