Responsible Procurement

BeiGene understands the importance of working with suppliers who share our commitment to developing high quality products and responsible operations, including through mitigating our impact on the environment. As our company continues to grow, our procurement team has evolved into a global function, allowing all regions to work together in a coordinated fashion to ensure the safety and quality of the products we buy.

Climate Resiliency

In 2022, we completed our first holistic greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory, including emissions from our own operations (Scopes 1 and 2 emissions) and our value chain (Scope 3 emissions). We have since set a carbon reduction goal across our Scope 1 and 2 emissions and are working to establish a Scope 3 carbon reduction goal by 2025. Read more about our how we are taking climate action within our value chain in our Responsible Business & Sustainability report.

Ethical Sourcing

We seek to work with suppliers who share our values and high business and ethical standards. BeiGene strongly encourages our partners adhere to responsible business practices outlined in our Supplier Code of Conduct, ensuring that the materials and ingredients we source are produced with fairness and respect for both people and the planet. We’ve initiated efforts to engage with key suppliers to raise awareness of material risk exposures, build capacity within our supplier base to track environmental data, and foster climate maturity in our value chain.

BeiGene is committed to working with a broad range of suppliers, including those who represent the populations our medications support. Additionally, BeiGene is committed to working in partnership with the U.S. Federal Government and associated subcontracting requirements.

Engaging with small, socially and economically disadvantaged businesses, in surrounding communities where we operate contributes to stronger economic growth (micro economy), drives competition and innovation. As such, BeiGene is committed to growing our relationships and pursuing innovations in patient health. We routinely assess our spend commitment to the federal government with socially and
economically disadvantaged businesses. In tandem with our efforts to provide best-in-class care
to our patients, BeiGene will continue to partner with all suppliers and provide opportunities for
competitive bidding when possible.

BeiGene strongly encourages qualified businesses who align to the SBA subcontracting categories to become registered, either through government programs, third party organizations or self-certification. Resources for certification are available through the U.S. Small Business Administration.
