The BeiGene Foundation was launched in 2023 as an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to provide grants to charitable organizations aligned with the Foundation’s mission. The BeiGene Foundation is led by the Executive Director of Responsible Business & Sustainability in partnership with the Board of Directors of the BeiGene Foundation, which is responsible for approving grants.
The BeiGene Foundation Mission
The BeiGene Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to eliminating barriers to equitable and accessible cancer care in underrepresented communities around the world. Through co-creating innovative and transformative interventions, we can help close the gap in cancer care and treatment disparities.
The Foundation provides funding to support charitable, community-engaged programs in three strategic areas:
- Access to equitable cancer healthcare
- Community engagement
- Disaster response
The BeiGene Foundation made its first grant to The Max Foundation as part of a collaboration with BeiGene to deliver medicine free of charge to patients in underserved markets in May of 2023.
“
BeiGene has always been a company that understands that to make a real impact in the world of oncology, we must do more than just develop medications. We must also positively impact our communities, where our colleagues and patients live and work. It has been exciting to see the establishment and growth of the BeiGene Foundation.
